Shawna Medina Served in the Georgia National Guard from March 2002- June 2006 with a deployment to Iraq and Fort Meade, Maryland for a Homeland Security Mission.
In June 2006, she went on Active Duty in the Army and was stationed with the 707 th EOD at Joint Base Lewis McChord. While with the 707 th She deployed to Iraq as their Unit Supply Specialist. Shawna spent 8 years on Active Duty and 3 years on Reserve status. Shawna now works for the Texas Veterans Commission as the Veterans Career Advisor for Johnson County.
